To the best of our knowledge, Millie’s is the first bakery in the world to create and market a range of gourmet biscuits, rolls and breads naturally enriched with Selenium – a virtual "fountain of youth" that can inhibit diseases normally associated with the ageing process.

At Millie's we source all our flour locally from Laucke Flour Mills in Strathalbyn. Laucke organise committed farmers to add Selenium to their soil so as to provide more for the wheat plant to absorb. The grain then incorporates significantly increased levels of the natural forms of Selenium, a process known as bio-fortification. This allows Laucke to mill unique “Bio-Fort” flour that provides targeted and beneficial levels of biologically natural Selenium.
